GEAR/WEAPONS
Aura Morphers:Ignites a person's Life Energy, also called Chi. This allows the person to morph by channeling the One Power through their Chakra points. Armor and weapons are stored as spells in the Aura Morphers. They were created by Master Kaku with the help of Zordon.
Byakkoshinken:Weapon of the White Kiba Ranger. An enchanted saber that can think and talk. The weapon was forged by the Dai Tribe 6,000 years ago in response to prophecies that a sixth Ranger would appear.
Heaven-Star Thunder Gems:The heart of the Kidenjuu's power. The gems appeared to the original Dairanger team 6,000 years ago. The gems were what allowed the bond between the mystical creatures and the Dairanger.

Kirin Blade:Kirin Ranger's weapon. A nine-part whip with a dagger at the tip.
Lion Staff: Lion Ranger's weapon. A dark-green staff. Used to perform the "Fang Attack!"
Phoenix Spear:Weapon of the Pink Phoenix Ranger.
Star Blades:Each of the five main Rangers had a ring-shaped weapon called a Star Blade. Together, the five Rangers used the weapons for their "Star Blade Assault!" attack. Individually, the weapons were used for the "Lightning Strike!" attack.
Tenma Nunchuks:Tenma Ranger's weapons. A pair of nunchuku.
Thunder Cycles:Motorcycles engineered for Master Kaku by Zordon and Alpha-5.
Thunder Staffs:Each of the five main Rangers carried a red staff called a Thunder Staff. Each Ranger had a different-shaped blade that could fit on the tip of a staff.
Thunder Swords and Star Cutters:Each of the five main Power Rangers carried a saber called a Thunder Sword and a shorter saber called a Star Cutter. The weapons could be used together for the "Thunderbolt Cut!" attack. The weapons could combine to form the Thunder Blaster.
Twin Dragon Swords:Dragon Ranger's weapons. A pair of swords.
ZORDS
Daimugen:One of the Kidenjuu. A carrier Thunderzord. Daimugen assumed the human form of Kameo following the war between the Gorma and Dai 6,000 years ago. He was human for so long, he forgot about his true origins and Daimugen form.
MegaThunderzord:Ryuseiou, Star Phoenix, Star Kirin, Star Tenma, and Star Lion combined into the MegaThunderzord named Dairenou. The Rangers formed the Megazord by shouting "Thunder Star Fusion!" The MegaThunderzord had the following attacks: "Wind Storm!" "Mist Concealment Destruction!" and the finisher "MegaThunderzord Saber! Lightning Slash!"
MegaTigerzord:Won Tiger, Star Phoenix, Star Kirin, Star Tenma, and Star Lion combined into the MegaTigerzord named Kiba Daiou. The Rangers formed the Megazord by shouting "Kiba Fusion!" The MegaTigerzord's final attack was the "Grand-Phoenix Crash!"
Red Dragon: The Dragon Ranger's Thunderzord named Ryuseiou. Could assume a two-legged warrior form at the command "Rise up!" Its final attack was the "Dragon Staff! Whirling Force!"
Star Kirin:Kirin Ranger's zord. Spat spatial/temporal distortions called "Kirin Flares."
Star Lion:Lion Ranger's zord. Performed the "Lion Mist!" attack.
Star Phoenix:Phoenix Ranger's zord. Performed the "Phoenix Hurricane!" attack.
Star Tenma:Tenma Ranger's zord. Performed the "Gravity Thrower!" attack.
Thunder Chariot:Star Phoenix, Star Kirin, Star Tenma, and Star Lion could form a flying chariot called the Thunder Chariot. Ryuseiou could ride on top of the chariot. Formed at the command "Chariot Fusion!"
Thunderzords:Also called Kidenjuu. Armored creatures born from The Power. Bond with rangers through the Heaven-Star Thunder Gems. Could use the gems to combine into the MegaThunderzord Dairenou.
UltraThunderzord:The combination of Daimugen and all the Thunderzords. Formed at the command. "Ultra Thunder! Star Fusion!"
White Tiger:Also called Won Tiger. Kiba Ranger's zord. Could assume a two-legged warrior form at the command "Rise up!" The Power Rangers and Master Kaku used their combined powers to birth the White Tiger from the One Power.
MISCELLANEOUS
500 Year War:Began 6,000 years ago. The Gorma Tribe, the military arm of the Daos civilization, rebelled against the ruling Dai Tribe and the Shura Tribe. The resulting war lasted for 500 years. Nature gave birth to the Kidenjuu to fight against the Gorma towards the end of the war. Five warriors' Chi rose to the point where they could control the Kidenjuu. The warriors became the Dairanger. In the end, both tribes practically wiped each other out.
Angel Grove City: Sat on a nexus of magical energy that ran through the Earth. The California city was five-times larger than Los Angeles and divided into five main districts: Angel Grove North, Angel Grove South, Angel Grove Central, Angel Grove East, and Angel Grove West.
Blinking:A teleportation ability used by the Gorma. They could teleport in the blink of an eye.
Dai:Ruling tribe of the Dao Civilization about 8,000 years ago, when the civilization reached its peak. The Dai Tribe had Chi powers they called Kiryoku. About 6,000 years ago the Dai decided to disband the military arm of their civilization. This decision prompted the military tribe, known as the Gorma, to attack the civilization and star the 500 Year War.
Daos Civilization:An ancient civilization that existed on Earth 8,000 years ago. The military arm of the Daos was known as the Gorma Tribe, the political leaders and scientists were called the Dai Tribe, and the commoners were called the Shura. The Gorma attacked the Dai Tribe, and the two groups nearly wiped each other out while bringing about the end of the civilization at the conclusion of the 500 Year War.
Dragon, the: A prophecy from Eltar foretells that someone called the Dragon will bring about the end of the galaxy. The prophecy reads as follows: "Tragedy will set his path. The Dragon, born of rage, born of hate, will rise on the winds of death. The earth will shake. The heavens will tremble. And all will know fear. His pain will blanket the skies. Born of The Light. Born of The Shadow. His path to redemption will herald the End of All Things. The savior. The destroyer. The end to us all." The prophecy was known by Professor Koji, who had a laptop with information and history about the Power Rangers. How he stumbled upon the information was a mystery.
Eedoropudoro:The Gorma's inauguration ceremony. At the start of the 500 Year War, they sacrificed the lives of five children to their god, the Mogralord.
Eltar:The homeworld of Zordon. The Eltarians were a humanoid race that appeared almost identical to humans.
Five Stars of Heaven:Angel Grove was on a nexus of magical energy that ran through the Earth. The Five Stars of Heaven were the guardians of that nexus. Each star was from a specific area of the city: North, south, east, west, and central. This information was known by Professor Koji, based on a prophecy about the final battle between good and evil. This prophecy refers to the Heaven Star Task Force Power Rangers in 2002. Tommy was from Angel Grove North, Kimberly was from Angel Grove South, Adam was from Angel Grove East, Rocky was from Angel Grove West, and Billy was from Angel Grove Central. The wording of the prophecy is as follows: "To each generation, five stars will rise, and they will guard the Holy Ground, where the Sacred Walked, before the Wheel of Time."
Gears of Fate:According to an Eltarian philosophy, the Gears of Fate turn the Wheel of Time, which weaves the Pattern of Ages. Each individual's life is a thread in the pattern of an age.
Gorma: The military arm of the Daos civilization. About 6,000 years ago, the ruling Dai Tribe tried to disband the Gorma. The Gorma rebelled and launched an assault on the Dai and Shura tribes, which started the 500 Year War. The Gorma could use their dark chi, Rinki, to channel The Power and transform into one-eyed monsters.
Gosei Sentai Dairanger:The Kiryoku, Chi power, of five individuals rose to the point where they could control five mystical beasts called the Kidenjuu. These individuals became the Gosei Sentai Dairanger during the war between the Gorma and Dai tribes 6,000 years ago.
Hayate Way:The Hayate Way had four schools across the world: Angel Grove's Little Tokyo, Japan, Korea, and China. The Hayate Way taught three fighting styles: Hakkyokuseiken, Koppouken, and Shiranui. Tommy Oliver studied the Hakkyokuseiken at the Angel Grove Hayate Way.
Hakkyokuseiken style: One of three styles taught at the Hayate Way in Little Tokyo. Hakkyokuseiken was a mix of Dragon-Fist Kung-Fu, karate, Tae Kwan-do, and ninjutsu. Tommy Oliver learned the Hakkyokuseiken style as a student of the Hayate Way.
Heaven Star Task Force Power Rangers:Master Kaku survived the war between the Gorma and Dai 6,000 years ago but prepared for the war to begin anew. He was contacted by Zordon via the Astral Plane, and the two Masters worked together to develop the Aura Morphers in preparation for the Gorma's return. The Gorma returned in 2002, and the Aura Morphers were given to five teens to become the Five Star Task Force Power Rangers. The Power Rangers were Red Dragon Ranger Tommy Oliver, Green Lion Ranger Adam Park, Yellow Kirin Ranger Billy Cranston, Blue Tenma Ranger Rocky DeSantos, and Pink Phoenix Ranger Kimberly Hart.
Ikkazuchi Way: It is unknown how many Ikkazuchi Way schools were across the world. One was in Angel Grove's Little Tokyo, and at least one was in Japan. The Ikkazuchi Way taught two fighting styles: Kukishin and Jinenkan. Billy Cranston learned the Jinenkan style from Master Kosugi, who fled from Japan's Ikkazuchi Way.
INET:A technology/internet/computer repair business that Billy operated out of his father's garage. (First mentioned in Chapter 16)
Jinenkan style: One of two styles taught at the Ikkazuchi Way in Little Tokyo. Jinenkan was a mix of Zui Quan Kung Fu, koppojutsu, ninjutsu, bojutsu and judo. Billy Cranston learned the Jinenkan style from Master Kosugi, a janitor for the Center Grove Community School District in Angel Grove Central.
Ka'zuul:The Ryujinn followers of an evil spirit known as DaiSatan 1.7 million years ago. The Ryujinn were an ancient race that lived alongside the dinosaurs. DaiSatan could channel his energy through his followers. One of the cult's manuals was found by the member of the Daos civilization, which reached its peak about 8,000 years ago. The Shura named Meduya used the book to become a warlock, but he was defeated by the Gorma, which took possession of the book for safekeeping. The Gorma later used the book to make contact with the Mogralord and unlock their dark powers to attack the Daos Civilization about 6,000 years ago.
Kiryoku:Chi power. The Spirit, Soul, Body, and Mind work in conjunction to create Life Energy called Chi. Chi flows through the body in its own circulatory system, connected by 64 Chakra points. The flow of Chi is controlled by eight specific Chakra points called the Eight Gates.
Koppouken style:One of three styles taught at the Hayate Way in Little Tokyo. A mix of Long-Fist Kung-Fu, kick boxing, and ninjutsu. Rocky DeSantos studied Koppouken.
Kukishin style:One of two styles taught at the Ikkazuchi Way in Little Tokyo. A mix of Jow-Ga Kung Fu, taijutsu, ninjutsu, bojutsu and an ancient form of karate.
Morphing:A Ranger can channel the One Power to transform, which is called morphing. Morphing increases the body's natural attributes such as strength and stamina, creates protective armor out of energy, and allows the Ranger greater access to The Power for special attacks.
One Power, the:A river of power that permeates the universe, and the source of what humans call magick. The Power turns the Gears of Fate and provides the balance between good and evil. The One Power has different currents, and each current is a particular type of energy. A wielder of The Power will have a greater strength with channeling energy from one current. For example, the evil witch Bandora channeled shadow energy from The Power. Rangers can channel The Power to transform, which is called morphing.
Onslaught:A period of time more than 6,000 years ago when hunting and gathering tribes united to attack the Daos Civilization, but the attack was defeated by the civilization's military arm, called the Gorma.
Ranger:Can channel the One Power to transform, called morphing. Morphing increases the body's natural attributes, such as strength and stamina, and creates protective armor out of energy. When in Ranger form, a person can channel more energy than a typical wielder of The Power, and the energy flow is constant.
Rinki:Dark Kiryoku, or Chi Power, used by the Gorma Tribe of the Daos Civilization to turn themselves into monsters. Rinki was power that came from a heart of hatred and anger.
Shiranui style:One of three styles taught at the Hayate Way in Little Tokyo. A combination of Eagle-Fist kung fu and ninjutsu.
Stone Canyon:A city south of Angel Grove. The two cities were bordered by a river surrounded on both sides by woods.
Technomancer Organization:An organization that combines magick and technology for the amassment of power and influence in the business and political world. They sought an alliance with the Gorma but were deemed unworthy.
Warlock: A male witch. A warlock can channel shadow energy from The Power and use that energy to summon creatures from other realms and dimensions, and he can bind those creatures to his will. A warlock typically channels the One Power through artifacts and runes, along with spells and incantations.
Wheel of Fate:Another term for the Gears of Fate. According to an Eltarian philosophy, the Gears of Fate turn the Wheel of Time, which weaves the Pattern of Ages. Each individual's life is a thread in the pattern of an age.
Witch:A witch can channel shadow energy from The Power and use that energy to summon creatures from other realms and dimensions, and she can bind those creatures to her will. A witch typically channels the One Power through artifacts and runes, along with spells and incantations.
