Aura Morphers: Ignites a person’s Life Energy. This allows the person to morph by channeling the One Power through their Chakra points. Armor and weapons are stored as spells in the Aura Morphers.
Byakkoshinken: Weapon of the White Kiba Ranger. An enchanted saber that can think and talk. The weapon was forged by the Dai Tribe 6,000 years ago in response to prophecies that a sixth Ranger would appear.
Kirin Blade: Kirin Ranger’s weapon. A nine-part whip with a dagger at the tip.
Lion Staff: Lion Ranger’s weapon. A dark-green staff. Used to perform the “Fang Attack!” attack.
Phoenix Spear: Weapon of the Pink Phoenix Ranger.
Star Blades: Each of the five main Rangers had a ring-shaped weapon called a Star Blade. Together, the five Rangers used the weapons for their “Star Blade Assault!” attack. Individually, the weapons were used for the “Lightning Strike!” attack.
Tenma Nunchuks: Tenma Ranger’s weapons. A pair of nunchuku.
Thunder Cycles: Motorcycles engineered for Master Kaku by Zordon and Alpha-5.
Thunder Staffs: each of the five main Rangers carried a red staff called a Thunder Staff. Each Ranger had a different-shaped blade that could fit on the tip of a staff.
Fang Megazord: The MegaThunderzord and White Tigerzord could armor merge to form the Fang Megazord. White armor covered the MegaThunderzord as the head of the White Tiger formed around the head of the dragon on the Megazord’s chest. The wings transformed into two broad swords of gold. Its final attack was the “Fang Blades, Sonic Strike!”
MegaThunderzord: Named ChoiDairenou. The Red Dragon, Star Tenma, Star Kirin, Star Lion, and Star Phoenix combined at the command “Thunder-Star fusion!” The Kirin and Tenma formed the arms, the dragon formed the body, with the Red Dragon head on the Megazord’s chest. The Lion formed the lower body and legs, and the Phoenix attached to the back of the Megazord as its wings extended outward and grew razor sharp. Red armor covered most of the zord. The Megazord was armed with the Thunder Whip that had the final attack, “Thunder Whip, Lightning Slash!” The MegaThunderzord could power up to Paladin mode, combine with the White Tigerzord to form the Fang Megazord, combine with the Shadow Dragonzord to form the ShadowMegazord, and combine with the Shadow Dragon and Tigerzord to form the OmniThunderzord. (Author’s note: The MegaThunderzord is meant to appear similar to the Gundam Epyon from Gundam Wing pictured below).
MegaThunderzord- Paladin mode: MegaThunderzord evolved into Paladin mode at the command “MegaThunderzord, armor up!” A suit of gold-trimmed, silver armor covered the Megazord. The MegaThunderzord grew an extra pair of wings from its back as a large double-edged silver sword appeared in the zord’s hands. Its finishing move was: “Star Saber, Divine Justice!” (Author’s note: MegaThunderzord Paladin mode is meant to appear similar to Imperialdramon Paladin mode from Digimon, pictured below).
OmniThunderzord: MegaThunderzord, White Tigerzord, and Shadow Dragonzord could armor merge to form the OmniThunderzord. Covered in a suit of silver armor with intricate golden symbols across the plating. The gauntlets were the heads of the Shadow Dragon and Tigerzord, and the red dragon formed the helmet. (Author’s note: OmniThunderzord is meant to look like Omnimon from Digimon, pictured below)
Phoenix-Force Omnizord: The Omnizord became the Phoenix-Force Omnizord when energized by the Phoenix Force. Four pairs of red and gold Phoenix wings grew from the back of the zord. The zord’s armor was edgier and deep red with gold trimming. The golden symbol of the Phoenix appeared over the zord’s chest. Its final attack was “Golden Flames, ignite!” (Author’s note: Phoenix-Force Omnizord is meant to similar to Gallantman from Digimon, pictured below).
Shadow Dragon: Created by the Shadow Ranger. A black-armored, medieval dragon. Could assume a humanoid warrior mode at the command “Shadow Dragon, rise up!” Attacks included the “Wing Blade!” and “Flames of Perdition!” The Shadow Dragon could combine with the MegaThunderzord to form the ShadowMegazord, and it could combine with the Tigerzord to form the Shadow Tigerzord.
ShadowMegazord: MegaThunderzord and Shadow Dragon could armor merge to form the ShadowMegazord. Black armor covered the MegaThunderzord, and the head of the Shadow Dragon formed a helmet for the Megazord. The claws of the Shadow Dragon formed a pair of dagger-shaped wrist gauntlets. Its final attack was “Chaos Force!”
Shadow Tigerzord: White Tiger and Shadow Dragon could armor merge to form the Shadow Tigerzord. Sharp, dark armor plating covered key areas of the Tigerzord. A dark helmet with a deep crimson visor covered the zord‘s head. The dragon’s wings connected to the Tiger’s back, and the dragon’s head armor formed a gauntlet on the zord’s right hand. Its attack was the “Roaring Fire!”
Thunderzords: The Rangers used their Thunder Gems to create new Thunderzords from the One Power. The new zords appeared more organic than their predecessors. The Thunderzords were the Red Dragon named Ryuseiou, Star Tenma, Star Lion, Star Kirin, and Star Phoenix. The Rangers used their Thunder Gems to summon the zords by shouting “Thunderzords arise!”
White Tigerzord: Also called Won Tiger. Kiba Ranger’s zord. Could assume a two-legged warrior form at the command “Rise up!” In 2002, the Power Rangers and Master Kaku used their combined powers to birth the White Tiger from the One Power. White Tiger could combine with the Shadow Dragon to form the Shadow Tigerzord and the MegaThunderzord to form the Fang Megazord.
Aleister Building: A skyscraper in Angel Grove. U.S. headquarters of the Order of the Brotherhood of Technomancers, also known as the Technomancer Organization.
Angel Grove City: Sat on a nexus of magical energy that ran through the Earth. The California city was five-times larger than Los Angeles and divided into five main districts: Angel Grove North, Angel Grove South, Angel Grove Central, Angel Grove East, and Angel Grove West.
Atalok Clan: A ruling clan that was known as the plague of the Seventh Circle of Hell. The damned soul of Alexander the Great was a member of the Atalok Clan.
Avalon: A sister world to the planet Yislan. Home to the super-powered team known as the Avataars. A planet of kings and nobles.
Avataars: A team of super-powered beings on the planet Avalon. Each of the Avataars could channel the One Power to perform special abilities.
Babylon Portal: A portal created by the Technomancer Organization by using a mix of technology and magick. The portal could cross space and other dimensions.
Dai: Ruling tribe of the Dao Civilization about 8,000 years ago, when the civilization reached its peak. The Dai Tribe had Chi powers they called Kiryoku. About 6,000 years ago the Dai decided to disband the military arm of their civilization. This decision prompted the military tribe, known as the Gorma, to attack the civilization and star the 500 Year War.
Daos Civilization: An ancient civilization that existed on Earth 8,000 years ago. The military arm of the Daos was known as the Gorma Tribe, the political leaders and scientists were called the Dai Tribe, and the commoners were called the Shura. The Gorma attacked the Dai Tribe, and the two groups nearly wiped each other out while bringing about the end of the civilization at the conclusion of the 500 Year War.
Dimocian Clan: One of the ruling clans of Hell.
Dragon, the: A prophecy from Eltar foretells that someone called the Dragon will bring about the end of the galaxy. The prophecy reads as follows: “Tragedy will set his path. The Dragon, born of rage, born of hate, will rise on the winds of death. The earth will shake. The heavens will tremble. And all will know fear. His pain will blanket the skies. Born of The Light. Born of The Shadow. His path to redemption will herald the End of All Things. The savior. The destroyer. The end to us all.” The prophecy was known by Professor Koji, who had a laptop with information and history about the Power Rangers. How he stumbled upon the information was a mystery.
Dynasty: During the original battle with the Gorma 6,000 years ago, the Dairanger team was confronted by a powerful empire from a shadow dimension known as the Dynasty. During their battle with the Dynasty, the Rangers used suits of mystical armor that augmented their strength and protected them against the empire’s evil forces. Following the defeat of the Dynasty, the five suits of armor were sent to the planet Shineru for protection by a guardian known as the Ancient One. The five armors possessed too much destructive power to be used for extended periods of time. The powers threatened to consume the souls of the armors’ bearers with evil.
Eltar: The homeworld of Zordon. The Eltarians were a humanoid race that appeared almost identical to humans. They had an average lifespan of about 1,000 years.
Five Stars of Heaven: Angel Grove was on a nexus of magical energy that ran through the Earth. The Five Stars of Heaven were the guardians of that nexus. Each star was from a specific area of the city: North, south, east, west, and central. This information was known by Professor Koji, based on a prophecy about the final battle between good and evil. This prophecy refers to the Heaven Star Task Force Power Rangers that assembled in 2002. Tommy was from Angel Grove North, Kimberly was from Angel Grove South, Adam was from Angel Grove East, Rocky was from Angel Grove West, and Billy was from Angel Grove Central. The wording of the prophecy is as follows: “To each generation, five stars will rise, and they will guard the Holy Ground, where the Sacred Walked, before the Wheel of Time.”
Gears of Fate: According to an Eltarian philosophy, the Gears of Fate turn the Wheel of Time, which weaves the Pattern of Ages. Each individual’s life is a thread in the pattern of an age.
Gorma: The military arm of the Daos civilization. About 6,000 years ago, the ruling Dai Tribe tried to disband the Gorma. The Gorma rebelled and launched an assault on the Dai and Shura tribes, which started the 500 Year War. The Gorma could use their dark chi, Rinki, to channel The Power and transform into one-eyed monsters.
Gosei Sentai Dairanger: The Kiryoku, Chi power, of five individuals rose to the point where they could control five mystical beasts called the Kidenjuu. These individuals became the Gosei Sentai Dairanger during the war between the Gorma and Dai tribes 6,000 years ago.
Hayate Way: The Hayate Way had four schools across the world: Angel Grove’s Little Tokyo, Japan, Korea, and China. The Hayate Way taught three fighting styles: Hakkyokuseiken, Koppouken, and Shiranui. Tommy Oliver studied the Hakkyokuseiken at the Angel Grove Hayate Way.
Hakkyokuseiken style: One of three styles taught at the Hayate Way in Little Tokyo. Hakkyokuseiken was a mix of Dragon-Fist Kung-Fu, karate, Tae Kwan-do, and ninjutsu. Tommy Oliver learned the Hakkyokuseiken style as a student of the Hayate Way.
Heaven Star Task Force Power Rangers: Master Kaku survived the war between the Gorma and Dai 6,000 years ago but prepared for the war to begin anew. He was contacted by Zordon via the Astral Plane, and the two Masters worked together to develop the Aura Morphers in preparation for the Gorma’s return. The Gorma returned in 2002, and the Aura Morphers were given to five teens to become the Five Star Task Force Power Rangers. The Power Rangers were Red Dragon Ranger Tommy Oliver, Green Lion Ranger Adam Park, Yellow Kirin Ranger Billy Cranston, Blue Tenma Ranger Rocky DeSantos, and Pink Phoenix Ranger Kimberly Hart.
Hergon: A planet conquered by Lord Zedd during his early days as a warlord. He enslaved the planet’s wolf-like race and turned them into mindless soldiers for his army. (05)
Ikkazuchi Way: It is unknown how many Ikkazuchi Way schools were across the world. One was in Angel Grove’s Little Tokyo, and at least one was in Japan. The Ikkazuchi Way taught two fighting styles: Kukishin and Jinenkan. Billy Cranston learned the Jinenkan style from Master Kosugi, who fled from Japan’s Ikkazuchi Way.
INET: A technology/internet/computer repair business that Billy operated out of his father’s garage.
Jinenkan style: One of two styles taught at the Ikkazuchi Way in Little Tokyo. Jinenkan was a mix of Zui Quan Kung Fu, koppojutsu, ninjutsu, bojutsu and judo. Billy Cranston learned the Jinenkan style from Master Kosugi, a janitor for the Center Grove Community School District in Angel Grove Central.
Ka’zuul: The Ryujinn followers of an evil spirit known as DaiSatan 1.7 million years ago. The Ryujinn were an ancient race that lived alongside the dinosaurs. DaiSatan could channel his energy through his followers. One of the cult’s manuals was found by the member of the Daos civilization, which reached its peak about 8,000 years ago. The Shura named Meduya used the book to become a warlock, but he was defeated by the Gorma, which took possession of the book for safekeeping. The Gorma later used the book to make contact with the Mogralord and unlock their dark powers to attack the Daos Civilization about 6,000 years ago.
Kiryoku: Chi power. The Spirit, Soul, Body, and Mind work in conjunction to create Life Energy called Chi. Chi flows through the body in its own circulatory system, connected by 64 Chakra points. The flow of Chi is controlled by eight specific Chakra points called the Eight Gates.
Koppouken style: One of three styles taught at the Hayate Way in Little Tokyo. A mix of Long-Fist Kung-Fu, kick boxing, and ninjutsu. Rocky DeSantos studied Koppouken.
Kukishin style: One of two styles taught at the Ikkazuchi Way in Little Tokyo. A mix of Jow-Ga Kung Fu, taijutsu, ninjutsu, bojutsu and an ancient form of karate.
Morphing: A Ranger can channel the One Power to transform, which is called morphing. Morphing increases the body’s natural attributes such as strength and stamina, creates protective armor out of energy, and allows the Ranger greater access to The Power for special attacks.
Mystic Armors: The Ancient crafted five mystical armors 6,000 years ago to fight against the Dynasty. The Ancient took the armors to the planet Shineru for safe keeping until they would be needed again.
Netherworld: A shadow dimension that was home to the evil empire known as the Dynasty. A rift between Earth and the Netherworld appeared 6,000 years ago during the war against the Gorma. The rift was sealed after the Dynasty’s defeat.
One Power, the: A river of power that permeates the universe, and the source of what humans call magick. The Power turns the Gears of Fate and provides the balance between good and evil. The One Power has different currents, and each current is a particular type of energy. A wielder of The Power will have a greater strength with channeling energy from one current. For example, the evil witch Bandora channeled shadow energy from The Power. Rangers can channel The Power to transform, which is called morphing.
Onyx Stone: A black, stone-like material that blocked the One Power.
Order, the: The first Ranger named Jestin defeated the galaxy-wide empire of evil ruled over by Sauron eons ago at the beginning of recorded time. Afterward, he established an Order of Masters and Rangers across the galaxy. Each Ranger team was mentored by a Master, who did not actually join the team in battle. The Order prospered until a warlord named Lord Zedd came to power and gathered enough strength to wipe out the Masters and Rangers.
Phoenix Force: A nearly omnipotent entity of cosmic power that feasted upon the stars themselves near the dawning of time and space. The entity was neither good nor evil; it simply was. It was a creature with the power to create. A creature with the power to destroy. Many civilizations across the universe came to worship the Phoenix Force as their goddess, even on Earth. Sometime shortly after time began, a powerful being imprisoned the Phoenix Force into a large red ruby called the Emcron Crystal. In order to contain the Phoenix, the ruby was actually a seal for a pocket dimension that spanned for infinity. The Emcron Crystal was guarded by an elite underground society known as the Knights of the Phoenix.
Power Cosmic: The mysterious Power Cosmic was older than the One Power. The Power Cosmic was said to be the energy of creation itself. Its power permeated the universe. No one could channel its energy, although few were said to have a “cosmic awareness,” a connection to the Power Cosmic on some level. The Phoenix Force was a being of cosmic energy.
Ranger: Can channel the One Power to transform, called morphing. Morphing increases the body’s natural attributes, such as strength and stamina, and creates protective armor out of energy. When in Ranger form, a person can channel more energy than a typical wielder of The Power, and the energy flow is constant.
Saima Clan: One of the ruling clans of Hell.
Shadow Clan: A ruling clan in the Seventh Circle of Hell. Lead by Xeracon. Lord Zedd’s henchman Levina was attuned to the Shadow Clan of Hell and summoned her grunts, Wraiths, from the Shadow Clan.
Shineru: Five mystical suits of armor were used on Earth about 6,000 years ago to defeat an evil shadow dimension called the Dynasty. Afterward, a man known as the Ancient took the armors to an uninhabited world called Shineru to keep them safe until they would be needed again. The world had two moons, barren, rocky landscapes and lush jungles along the equator.
Shiranui style: One of three styles taught at the Hayate Way in Little Tokyo. A combination of Eagle-Fist kung fu and ninjutsu.
Sphere of Sara-Kath: An artifact of power sought by the Technomancer Organization. Its origins and exact powers were unknown. It seemed to amplify magick.
Stone Canyon: A city south of Angel Grove. The two cities were bordered by a river surrounded on both sides by woods.
Technomancer Organization: An organization that combines magick and technology for the amassment of power and influence in the business and political world. They sought an alliance with the Gorma but were deemed unworthy.
Verox: A race of cybernetic beings. They were divided into two classes: bounty hunters and soldiers.
Warlock: A male witch. A warlock can channel shadow energy from The Power and use that energy to summon creatures from other realms and dimensions, and he can bind those creatures to his will. A warlock typically channels the One Power through artifacts and runes, along with spells and incantations.
Wheel of Fate: Another term for the Gears of Fate. According to an Eltarian philosophy, the Gears of Fate turn the Wheel of Time, which weaves the Pattern of Ages. Each individual’s life is a thread in the pattern of an age.
Witch: A witch can channel shadow energy from The Power and use that energy to summon creatures from other realms and dimensions, and she can bind those creatures to her will. A witch typically channels the One Power through artifacts and runes, along with spells and incantations.
Yislan: A planet of kings and nobles. Each High King of Yislan was also the leader of a secret society called the Knights of the Phoenix, which protected the Emcron Crystal from evil. The following is a description of the world’s cities: Decorate castles lined the grassy hills, and each stone wall was embedded with an intricate hologram that made the castles flow as if they were alive and luminous.
