CHARACTERS:

Black Tarantula: A Brazilian crime lord. 

Fortunado: A crime lord in Angel Grove who sought to unite and gain control of the various criminal factions and mobs. 

Mason: A criminal in Angel Grove.

Mugensai, Sensei: Head of the Hayate Way school in Angel Grove. Tommy Oliver’s sensei.

Nguyen Ngoc Coy, General: Leader of a small militia in Madripoor. Contracted his services to criminals in the United States.

Omino: An assassin and sensei with the Ikkazuchi Way in Angel Grove.

Tommy Oliver:Dragon Ranger. Heaven Fire Star, Red. 18-years-old, from Angel Grove North. Born in 1985. Attended Angel Grove North Community High School. Tommy was adopted at the age of four (1989) after his parents were pronounced dead. His adopted parents had two children of their own, Teddy and Chelsea. Tommy and Chelsea shared the same birthday. Tommy studied the Hakkyokuseiken style under the leadership of Master Mugensai at the Hayate Way school in Little Tokyo.

In 2001, Tommy's girlfriend Shannon was critically injured in Bandora's first attack, and Tommy thought she was dead. Bandora placed a spell on Tommy and turned him into the Green Dragon Ranger, leader of her Dark Warlords. Few months later, Tommy's spell was broken, and he joined the Power Rangers. He learned that Kyra, one of Bandora's villains, was actually Shannon. She was taken from Earth and "reprogrammed" as Kyra by Bandora. Kyra/Shannon died at the hands of Goldar. Bandora summoned DaiSatan back to Earth. Tommy lost his powers but was able to access his Kiryoku for the first time to kill DaiSatan. He proceeded to kill Bandora.

In 2002, Tommy was chosen as the Red Dragon Ranger. Tommy learned that his father was actually Tenkasei Ryou,the original Red Dragon Ranger of the Dairanger 6,000 years ago, but his father betrayed his team and became Gorma. Shortly before Tommy’s birth, his father met and fell in love with a woman, Tommy’s birth mother. The Gorma killed his mother to bring Ryou back into their evil fold, and Ryou believed Tommy died in the attack.

In 2003, Tommy led the Rangers in a war against Lord Zedd, and they killed the evil warlord. As a Ranger, Tommy controlled the Red Dragon, Ryuseiou.

Hayate Way:The Hayate Way had a long-standing tradition, dating back to its roots in Japan. During the Nara Era, at the end of the seventh century, it was discovered that certain individuals could use powers hidden in nature. By the Kamakura Era, the methods of using these powers were systemized. Two great schools became major players in this secret society: The Hayate Way and the Ikkazuchi Way. In 1495, during the Muromachi Era, the two schools competed in a tournament presided over by the emperor of Japan himself. The Hayate Way won, becoming the leading martial arts school in the nation. The Hayate Way and Ikkazuchi Way continued competing into the Sengoku Era, improving and testing their techniques against each other. The Hayate Way was chosen during the Edo period as the select school of the Emperor, and the best of its warriors became his secret guard. Secret warriors of virtue and justice, shrouded in darkness. The Ikkazuchi became a group of assassins, often recruited by members of the Japanese underworld. They were without honor. The traditions of the Hayate Way and Ikkazuchi Way continued to this day, across the world. The best of the Hayate Way students were chosen as secret guardians and protectors. Chosen as Harrikenjaa. The Ikkazuchi Way continued to provide its students to the criminal element.
